Retired Jersey -- 11/22/00 After washing my basketball jersey, my wife asked if she should throw it away. I said I didn't need it anymore (since I decided to retire after my illustrious career), but we should keep it "just in case." My mom chimed in, saying that we should hang the jersey from our rafters, forever retiring the number. Very funny mom!
