Words: Overslept by three hours. Didn't feel too bad when I saw the early morning surf (and the crowds). Very spotty skies and not the most powerful surf led me to just go sponging with new point-and-shoot in hand (Olympus Stylus 790 SW).

Started at BD/OTW, but it started kind of uninspiringly. Paddled over to "Arpies" and found some big peaks and shoulders. Think I buckled my new bodyboard on one of the bouncy takeoffs. Paddled back and had a little better time at the Beach Park stretch. Overall, it was ok, but I know it was better at other places (especially after getting the report from Fabe).
