Words: Once again shared a surf with alt.surfer Davis (aka Tower 7). We started off at Holtons but it was too small and not really happening. So we braved the crowd and paddled over to Lanis where it was about chest-shoulder with some bigger. Very clean in the early on, but got a little windier as the morning progressed. Davis was scoring a lot of waves and I ended up shooting only him the entire session. He was full of stoke and I'm glad he scored.

My new Makani shortboard worked really well for me. Nice and full where I need it to be. Will be wringing it out more this summer.
