Words: Took off in the middle of the day to check out what all the hype was all about. Figured that there would be a window to shoot before it got too big and the winds shifted. As it turned out, the bigger waves never showed while I was out there. Water was dirty and tasted terrible. Did get caught in the rip on the way in, which was noticed by more than a few tourists.
